Didn't the original London Bridge fall into the Thames in the 18th - 19th century because it was overload with the weight of a couple of dozen shops that they had built attached to the sides?

That i dont know all much about, all i know is that, the original sits in lake havasu ariz, it was pretty neat though.

By the looks of that picture the water is much cleaner then the Thames. So its probibly better there. The easiest way to kill yourself in London is drink a drop of Thames water, at must plaes it has a foamy head to rival a pint of Guinness :).

It's said that when London Bridge was bought the buyer actually thought he was recieving the more renowned Tower Bridge, because it was often mistaken by tourists to be London Bridge. It's not generally regarded as true but it's somewhat interesting.
I just find the idea of transporting a bridge across the Atlantic extremely odd.
